Indication

This product is indicated for coccidiosis caused by coccidia susceptible to amprolium

(Eimeria spp) or gastrointestinal infections for which it is therapeutically or

prophylactically indicated to administer amprolium in calves, goats, sheep and

poultry.

Dosage and administration

Prevention:

Mix feed: 1kg mix 2000kg feed, used for 5-7 days.

Mix water: 1kg mix 4000L drinking water, used for 5-7 days.

Treatment: Mix feed: 1kg mix 1000kg feed, used for 5-7 days.

Mix water: 1kg mix 2000L drinking water, used for 5-7 days.

Withdrawal Period – For meat:Poultry: 3 days.

Anti-coccidiosis or gastrointestinal infections

Contra indications

1. The use of amprolium is prohibited from a laying age onwards.

2. Do not administer to poultry whose eggs are intended for human consumption.

3. Do not administer to animals with impaired hepatic and/or renal functions.

4. Do not administer to turkeys before the age of 8 to 10 weeks.

Side effects

1. Overdosage of amprolium can suppress weight gain in broilers and cause

polyneuritis.

2. Long-term administration of amprolium in high doses may result in thiamine

(vitamin B1) deficiency in the host.

3. To treat amprolium overdose, thiamine should be administered parenterally or

orally.
